In research of architectural heritage at last two decades of XX century, a great attention was paid to the issue of shaping and architectural typology. These issues were considered and researched by L.S.Bretanitskiy, M.S.Bulatov, D.A.Giassy, L.U.Mankovskaya, V.Q.Muradov, Q.A. Puqancheva, L.I. Rempel, A.V. Salamzade, M.A.Useynov, Sh. Fatullayev. At the period, when in modern architecture a problem of figurativeness became one of the leading problems, the research of mentioned issues and searches of local-regional and national peculiarities became more actual than ever. One of considerable stages in research of typology isa typological classification and its graphic expression, that is, its representation in the form of a table. Systemic-structural analysis in classification makes it possible to establish once existing variety of types, their uniqueness and at the same time a definite relation between them; helps to reveal each architectural type description; discloses its formation process (genetic sources and evolution). Consideration of these issues will make it possible to study a history of Azerbaijan architecture in community with neighboring countries and help to define its variety and place in general flow of Muslim countries architecture development.
