Arab countries have witnessed a vast expansion in Arab count Leducation and its funding, and educational institutions in the Arab world are now committed to the task of eradicating illiteracy. However, the pace of this expansion has been slow and achievements thus far have been made at the expense of quality development. This expansion has also failed to instill in students a thirst for research and innovation, a readiness to use initiative, or a capacity for self-learning.
