The book “Pick and Tick” is intended for intermediate level students who have already mastered the elementary usage of English. This book is about how words work ogether for fluent and natural English. Its aim is to help the students learn the differences between some English words that are very often confused with one another. Take, for instance the Azerbaijani verb “təklif etmək” which has two English verbs corresponding to it : to offer and to suggest. There are many such words. But which ones does one choose and how should they be used? This book is intended to be a practical guide to the correct use of them.
